ROLEPLAY RULES
Rules Update Log | Rules Directory

1. Metagaming
Using any information obtained out of character and using that in character is prohibited. This includes the use of third party programs (Discord, TeamSpeak, etc.) to communicate. Inciting metagame is also prohibited.
Examples:
- Roleplaying that you know somebody’s name because you see their nametag.
- Messaging a friend out of character to come and pick you up.
- Organizing a robbery with friends using Discord to communicate.

2. Powergaming
Forcing actions upon another player or performing subhuman/impossible actions is not allowed. This includes not giving another player a chance to respond to your roleplay fairly. Roleplaying having something that you do not actually possess, such as a weapon, or using something that does not exist scriptwise without consent from all persons involved is also prohibited.
Examples:
- John Doe secretly reported Jim Smith to the police using footage from a pair of spy glasses which he did not have consent from Jim Smith to roleplay using.
- John Doe roleplays sending a fatal hit to Jim Smith to knock him out without allowing Jim Smith a chance to roleplay.
- John Doe roleplays growing a pair of wings and flying away from pursuing police officers.

3. Deathmatching
Intentionally causing injury or death to another character without a valid reason is deathmatch. Not properly roleplaying your actions behind causing injury or death to another player is also considered to be deathmatch.
Examples:
- John Doe starts brawling Jim Smith because he does not like liberals, and Jim Smith is a liberal.
- John Doe sees Jim Smith looking at him funny and scrolls his gun to shoot and kill him.
- John Doe rams his car into a large crowd before fleeing without any roleplay.

4. Newbie Period
New characters will go through a 10 hour ‘newbie period,’ protecting them from robberies, scams, etc. whilst also preventing them from participating in drug deals or weapons deals. This is so to give players an opportunity to set their character up properly, and also to prevent ‘throw-away characters’ from being created.

NOTE: A character in the ‘newbie period’ will still be required to participate in roleplay such as robberies, however may not actually have any of their possessions or money stolen from them.
Examples:
- John Doe pulls a gun and demands that Jim Smith give him his money, even though Jim Smith is a character with 4 hours.
- Jim Smith improperly acquires a firearm whilst having 2 hours on his character and still being in the newbie period.

5. Extreme/Disgusting Roleplay
Any form of extreme or disgusting roleplay (rape, necrophilia, pedophilia, sexual harassment, disfiguring, etc.) requires the out of character approval from all involved parties. If approval from all involved parties is given, extreme or disgusting roleplay may be carried away from the main dimension, inside of an interior where no other players may involuntarily come across the roleplay.

Mental illnesses must be roleplayed properly by a player who has done the proper research into the characteristics of somebody suffering from the particular mental illness they are roleplaying. Roleplaying mental illnesses which might result in your character harming other people requires permission from an administrator. Pedophilia is not permissible.
Examples:
- Jim Smith walks by Jane Doe and makes a sexually harassing gesture.
- John Doe roleplays urinating in public using detailed and explicit roleplay.
- John Doe asks Jane Smith for rape permissions on an out-of-character level. During the roleplay, Jane asks John to stop as she no longer feels comfortable. John continues with the roleplay.

6. Always Roleplay
No player in game may declare themselves to be out of character without the approval of an administrator. In the event that a player feels like another player is breaking a rule, the player may make an in game report, however the roleplay must continue until an administrator intervenes.

Logging to avoid roleplay is prohibited. If a player urgently needs to log off from the server, a report must be made and permission must be granted by an administrator for the player to leave the roleplay scene. The administrator, from there, will decide how the roleplay proceeds.

In order for a roleplay scene to be skipped, all parties involved must give their consent.
Examples:
- John Doe crashes his car into Jim Smith. He does not want to roleplay the collision, so instead he drives off like nothing happened.
- John Doe thinks that Jim Doe is breaking a rule. He refuses to roleplay until an admin is present.
- John Doe is upset that he is being robbed and logs off to avoid having his assets stolen from him.

7. Robberies & Scams
A player that is not in the newbie period may participate in a robbery or scam. There is no limit to the amount that a player can rob or scam from another player. All robberies and scams must have a legitimate reason behind them and must be roleplayed thoroughly. A player cannot kill another player after committing a robbery on them unless the other player shows disregard for their life.

Out-of-character scams are strictly prohibited.
Examples:
- John Doe performs an armed robbery on Jim Smith. John Doe executes Jim Smith to prevent him from reporting it to the police in the future.
- John Doe performs a robbery on a new player, stealing all of the money that he spawned with.

8. Bug/Physics Abuse
Using any form of bug or broken physics to your advantage in game is strictly prohibited. This includes discovering a bug but failing to report the bug and instead relaying the bug to other people so that they can misuse the bug too.
Examples:
- John Doe bunnyhops so that he can get away from police quickly.
- John Doe discovers a script bug that gives him infinite cash and uses it to buy a car he wants.
- John Doe discovers a script bug to give him infinite health. He tells his friend so that his friend can use it during a shootout to avoid dying.

9. Third-Party Modifications
It shall never be permissible to use a third-party modification that has an impact on other players. For example, use of handling modifications or camera hacks will not be allowed, whereas using a visual modification such as an ENB is allowed.

Devices such as controllers are allowed for driving or flying, however are not allowed to be used for shooting. Only a mouse and keyboard shall be permissible for a shootout.
Examples:
- John Doe installs a modification that slams his car to the ground. This affects how others view his car, and therefore is not allowed.
- John Doe installs a camera modification to give himself a greater field of view than is available with the game. This gives him an advantage in some scenarios and is therefore not allowed.
- John Doe is driving his car through a rival gang neighborhood using a controller. He gets out of his car and returns fire using his controller to shoot.
